Perge

The ancient city of Perge is a significant ancient city located in Aksu district, 18 km east of Antalya. Perge, which was the capital of the Pamphylian region for a time, is a historical heritage of which many tourist attractions are of intense interest today. It believed that the Acropolis, located within the ancient city of Perge, was founded during the Bronze Age. During the Hellenistic period, the town considered among the wealthiest and most beautiful cities in the Old World. It is also the hometown of the Greek mathematician Pergeli Apollonius.
