Especially in the summer months, the population of the region can increase up to 3 times the community in the winter months. The width of the Mediterranean region is between 120 and 180 kilometers, with the coast extending along the Mediterranean Sea in the south of Anatolia. In the West and northwest of the area is the Aegean region, in the North, is the Central Anatolia region, in the East is the South East Anatolia region. The Mediterranean region borders Syria from the southeast. The area of the Mediterranean region is 110,000 km2. With this feature, we can express that the Mediterranean region covers 14% of the total area of Turkey. The coastal length of the Mediterranean region extends from the Syrian border in the East to Dalaman Creek in the West.
