History Of Çatalhöyük

The discovery of Çatalhöyük, which dates back 9400 years, coincides with 1958. On this date, Neolithic and Chalcolithic Age settlements discovered in Çatalhöyük, where excavations were carried out in 1961 by J. Melleart. Catalhoyuk, identified as two separate settlements, the eastern part called Çatalhöyük, used as a settlement for 2 thousand years. Moreover, the discovery of the remains of cultural and art activities in this region shows that the area has a very developed history.
