On the walls, you can also view works that reflect the religious beliefs of the period. So, does this deep cultural heritage, which formed in 4 different phases, show similar characteristics? Come together, let's take a closer look at the four stages that prepare the ground for the formation of the Alacahöyük region.
The First Stage
Although the historical ruins dating back to the 3500s BC, according to many historians, Alacahöyük is even older than 1500. The most serious evidence that the first phase took place is the three different ceramic works in Alacahöyük. You should see the remains of the first stage on display in the Corum Museum.
Second Stage
It is possible to find silver souvenirs, weapons, and animal skulls belonging to the second phase, which is about 2000 years younger than the first phase.
Third Stage
The third phase in Alacahöyük coincides with the Hittite period. Therefore, it is possible to find the Sphinx of the third period, the magnificent gates, and many other massive structures. The most significant remnant of this period is The Sun Disk belonging to the Hittites.
Stage Four
The fourth phase of Byzantine, Hellenic, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods can be observed in the Ankara Museum.
