Laodicea

Laodicea is one of the most beautiful tourist attraction areas in Turkey. The ancient city of Laodicea located within the borders of Denizli province of Turkey. The old town of Laodicea has provided quite significant advantages in terms of geography. The location of the ancient city is near the Lykos River. The city is known to have been founded by Seleucid king IInd Antiochos and is home to many tourists today. The King gave the town the name of his wife, Laodike, in 260 BC. The region is called Ladik during the Seljuk and Ottoman periods.

After the Edict of Milan, he chose to become a Christian in Constantine the Great. For this reason, Laodicia is essential for the Christian world. MS 4. from the century on, it has had a religious feature as a center of holy pilgrimage. The fact that his name mentioned in the Bible, the Holy Book of Christianity, rivets this sanctity.
